Baby Tracker is an app for parents and caregivers to log and track baby activities. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
- Your display name
- Your email address
- Your profile photo URL (if set)
When you use the app, we store:
- Baby profiles — name, birth date, phase, avatar, and theme colour
- Activity records — feeding, diaper changes, weight measurements, and any other activities you log, including timestamps and optional notes
- Caregiver relationships — which accounts have access to each baby profile
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to:
- Display your baby's activity history and statistics
- Sync data across devices signed in with the same account
- Share baby profiles with caregivers you explicitly invite
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored in two places:
- Google Firebase Firestore (cloud) — encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest, hosted on Google infrastructure
- Local device storage — a SQLite cache on your device for offline access
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- With caregivers you explicitly invite via a share code
- With Google Firebase as the infrastructure provider, subject to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy)
5. Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy:
- Delete my data — permanently removes all baby profiles you own and their activity records. Your account remains active.
- Delete account — permanently removes your account and all associated data.
Deleted data cannot be recovered.
6. Children's Privacy
Baby Tracker is intended for use by adult parents and caregivers. The app does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Baby profile data (name, birth date) is entered by adult users.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available in the app under Settings → Privacy Policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
